Media Services

Media Services offers equipment for checkout to members of the SBU community, as well as services such as printing and binding.

Media Services Announcement

Media Services no longer has lamination services

If you are affiliated with SBU and need lamination services, please
contact the Education Department,
located in the Gott Educational Center on the Bolivar campus.

What's Available?

Media Equipment:

These items are available for SBU patrons to check-out at the Circulation Desk near the main entrance of Hutchens Library. Check-out for all media equipment is on a 1st-come-1st-served basis. Reservations are encouraged.

  • Dell laptops
  • Webcams
  • iPads
  • Photography cameras
  • Camera tripods
  • Projectors
  • Projector screens (various sizes)
  • Easels
  • CD/Cassette players
  • DVD/VCR players
  • Netbooks
  • Voice recorders
  • Various media and charging cables (power strips, extension cords, Lightning USB cables, HDMI cables, etc.)

Media Materials to Check Out:

These items are located in the main area of Hutchens Library, just past the oversized books.

  • DVDs (1 week checkout)
  • CDs (1 week checkout)
  • Audiobooks (2 week checkout)        

Media Reserves:

These items can be checked out from the Circulation Desk at the front of Hutchens Library. They are available for 2-hour, in-library use. 

Services:

  • Color printing ($0.25/page)
  • B&W copying ($0.10/page--CASH ONLY)

Media Equipment:

These items are available for SBU patrons to check-out at the Circulation Desk near the main entrance of Springfield Campus Library. Check-out for all media equipment is on a 1st-come-1st-served basis.
