What is Evidence-Based Practice or EBP?

Evidence-Based Practice in Physical Therapy includes the integration of best available evidence, clinical expertise, and patient values and circumstances related to patient and client management, practice management, and health policy decision-making (APTA.org)

There are three elements in the Evidence-Based Practice process, and all three are equally important: 

1. Best Available Evidence

2. Clinician's Knowledge and Skills

3. Patient's Wants and Needs
