Blackboard: Integrating Library Resources: Linking to Library Resources

Introduction

There are many ways of providing links to an online resources. For a successful access to the resource, you need the permanent link of the library resource. From your content page, you may link to the resource by copying and pasting the permanent URL as text, using the linking icon with the permanent URL in the content area, or creating a Web Link to the resource. This page shows the steps in creating a Web Link.

Adding Web Link as a Menu type

The screenshots below shows the steps fo creating Web Link for a research guide "Adolescent Psychology." Follow the same steps to create Web Links for other library resources.

For the URL in step 3, open the guide from the  Research Guides, and copy its "url", which happens to be its permanent link.
