PTH 7283 - Physical Therapist Management of Cardiopulmonary Disorders

Step 2 in the EBP Process

The second step in the evidence-based practice process is utilizing the knowledge and skill set the physical therapist acquired during their training. The clinician's knowledge and skill set will be unique to each individual based on their educational experience, where their clinical rotations were conducted and their personal competency levels. The Southwest Baptist Doctor of Physical Therapy program outlines a path for students to:

  • Gain the knowledge and skills needed for patient management, education, consultation and clinical research.
  • Build upon a strong liberal arts background with an emphasis on Christian faith integration.
  • Develop critical and analytical thinking skills, effective communication skills, and professional behaviors.
