Get Help!

Did you know there are several ways to ask for help from the library staff?

If you are in the Bolivar or Springfield libraries, you are welcome to come to the desk at the front of the library to ask for help. You can also use the Contact Us information bar at the side of this guide at any time.

Who do I contact?

Don't know who the SBU librarians are? On the main library page, hover over the "About the Library" section and select "Employee Directory" from the dropdown menu.

A directory will appear with a list of the SBU librarians and how to contact them..

Chat or text with Us

The chat box can be found on the main library page or on the Contact Us banner at the side of the research guide and connects you directly with any available librarian during open hours. During the hours we are not open, a third-party reference assistance service will be happy to help with your questions!
