APTA Guide to Physical Therapist Practice

How to access this guide: 

  1. Go to the library website: library.sbuniv.edu
  2. Search for the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice (or click above)
  3. Click “Online Access” under the name of the eBook to be taken to the resource.
  4. You won’t see the book until you create a login and login to the website. As a result, the first time you access the APTA guide, you will need to click “Login” on the website.
  5. Once there, you will have to click “Create a free account.” When you do this, you MUST USE your SBU email address so the publisher recognizes that you are affiliated with SBU.
  6. You may be required to verify their login - check your SBU email for a verification link. 
  7. Log in to the website! You should be able to access the Guide without any trouble. Any time you access the Guide after this initial set up, you should just log in with your username (SBU email address) and your chosen password.

Books & eBooks

Can't find the book you need? Request it via MOBIUS

MOBIUS is the Missouri statewide consortium consisting of more than 60 libraries, including the SBU Libraries. Through MOBIUS you have access to more than 23 million items that you can request from the owning library and have sent to the CON Library for you to check out. 

Search the online MOBIUS catalog to find books. You can request an item by clicking on the blue Request link in each book's record. You will need to enter your library region/cluster (SWAN) and then your SBU ID, followed by SBU.
